Sinus Surgery

Coblation Sinus Surgery

As a tool for open or endoscopic paranasal sinus surgery, Coblation® offers a number of potential advantages. Results indicate that paranasal sinus mucosa heals favorable with Coblation. Coblation can remove tissue and cauterize at the same time. In addition, the lower temperatures of Coblation minimize damage to surrounding healthy tissue.

The PROcise™ EZ View Sinus Wand was designed specifically for Coblation sinus surgery.

Potential advantages of Coblation in sinus surgery include:

  • Integrated ablation, suction, and bipolar coagulation for optimal hemostasis
  • Enhnaced surgeon visibility providing safe navigation and orientation in the sinuses
  • Reduced damage to adjacent tissue and faster healing
  • Decreased intraoperative bleeding and operative time
  • Low thermal profile with operating temperatures of 40-70° C
  • Can be used endoscopically
